Rubondo Island Camp is the only permanent camp on Rubondo, reached by light aircraft followed by a short boat transfer. Eight rooms face the forest and lake, each with its own deck. Days combine chimpanzee tracking on foot, birding (the island has over 200 species recorded), and genuinely relaxing lake-beach time — a very different rhythm from a mainland safari camp.
