Jongomero Camp

Jongomero is positioned in the far south of Ruaha, a sector so remote that its game viewing is effectively exclusive. Eight generous tents sit in a sand river bed beneath ancient Terminalia trees. The Great Ruaha River is a ten-minute walk away, and the camp’s private stretch sees elephant concentrations in the dry season that are genuinely astonishing — sometimes 200 individuals at once. African wild dog are regularly sighted from camp.
