3 Days Climbing Mount Meru – Overview

Day 1: Arusha – Momella Gate (1,500m) to Miriakamba Hut (2,500m)
Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive to Momella Gate for registration. Begin your trek with an armed ranger, walking through lush forest trails filled with wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, and monkeys. The path gradually ascends to Miriakamba Hut, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut (3,500m) – Summit (4,562m) – Miriakamba Hut
Start early and hike steeply through forests and moorlands to Saddle Hut. After a short rest, continue your summit attempt at midnight or very early morning, passing Rhino Point (3,800m) and Cobra Point (4,350m) to reach Socialist Peak (4,562m) by sunrise. Take in magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Meru Crater before descending back to Miriakamba Hut for overnight rest.

Day 3: Miriakamba Hut – Momella Gate – Arusha
